Justin Tomlinson MP has met representatives of Swindon Climate Action Network (SCAN) to discuss the potential for biodiversity in farming after Brexit.
SCAN is a local independent group of Swindon residents concerned about climate change. As well as taking part in national campaigns, SCAN organise local campaigns to encourage people to reduce their carbon emissions, proactively recycle and be more conscious of their carbon footprint.
Justin regularly meets with members of SCAN to discuss what he can do to support their activities on a local and national level, including writing to ministers; attending events in Parliament and supporting campaigns to ensure the UK remains on track to meet its commitment to be carbon neutral by 2050.
Justin Tomlinson said “It was great to meet with SCAN representatives, Ed and Viv, to discuss the potential for biodiversity farming post-Brexit. SCAN are an excellent local group and I am glad to regularly meet them to discuss how I can best champion a cause we are both passionate about in Parliament.”
