Local MP Meets With Oakhurst Primary School Students During Parliamentary Visit

Local MP, Justin Tomlinson, has met with students from Oakhurst School in Parliament.

The students were in Westminster as part of a visit organised by the Parliament Education Service, which introduces young people to politics and the political process. During the visit, students get the opportunity to tour Parliament, learn about elections and meet with the MP.

Justin spoke to the group about the work he does to represent them as fellow North Swindon residents as well as his new role as Minister for Disabled People.

Justin Tomlinson MP said: "It was fantastic to meet with some of the students from Oakhurst who were visiting Parliament. As the MP, I have visited every school in North Swindon to talk to students about my role as their MP and give an assembly about Parliament. These visits give young people the chance to Parliament at work and I'd encourage as many local schools as possible to look into these visits."
