Local MP Justin Tomlinson was treated to a spot of tea and cake this afternoon at St Michael’s church in Highworth.
Attending an event run by the Prospect Hospice, Justin got to meet and chat with a number of local residents as well as taste a variety of delicious homemade cakes.
As a supporter of the charity, Justin recognises the value Prospect Hospice brings to the community.
Justin Tomlinson MP said: “The Prospect Hospice is an integral part of maintaining the health and well-being of people throughout Swindon and the UK. Without their diligent work and fundraising schemes thousands of residents across Swindon and Wiltshire would not be able to receive the necessary social care they need to enjoy the later years of their life. Local coffee mornings ensure that enough funding can be raised for those who need it, but also provide support for the families of those who are suffering. A big thanks must go to the Highworth support group and all those involved for hosting these local regular events and for the tireless round the clock work that Prospect volunteers put into making occasions like this worthwhile.”
