North Swindon MP Justin Tomlinson MP has met local business owners Andrew and Jelena Geidans, to see an innovative new service they offer.
Andrew and Jelena own GS InStyle, a company which provides personalised clothing, bags and accessories.
Since opening five years ago the business has gone from strength to strength, processing up to 2,500 items a day and providing clothing for a number of schools and groups across Swindon - including Red Oaks Primary, Brook Field, and Draycott Sports Camp.
The couple have now diversified their services by creating a handwriting machine, which is the only one of its kind in the country.
They have created a machine which can hold and manipulate a pen. Using a programme, which they coded themselves, the machine can write documents from the computer making them look handwritten.
Justin Tomlinson MP said: “It was very interesting to see Andrew and Jelena’s business, and I was thrilled to see how well it had grown in 5 years. I was incredibly impressed with the handwriting machine, and I am very proud that such an innovation is being developed in Swindon.”
Andrew Geidans said: “In the digital world that we live in, we believe deeply that personal handwritten letters will become an increasingly powerful way of engaging at a far more emotional level.”
