Local MPs Join Forces For Opening Of New Luxury Retail Store

Local MPs Justin Tomlinson and Robert Buckland have attended the opening of Flannels, the new luxury retail store in Swindon town centre.

The new shop is based on the site of the old H&M on Regent Street and looks set to help contribute to town centre regeneration. The new 18,000 square foot shopping store spans two floors and sell men’s and women’s designer clothing, accessories and footwear.

Justin Tomlinson MP said: “Flannels is a much-welcomed addition to Swindon town centre. Stores like this will help to attract people into the centre both those living in Swindon and those living outside, to come and spend money in our town. I also welcome the 30 new jobs created locally, building on our record-low levels of unemployment across Swindon.”

New store manager Ayesha Randhawa said: “I feel really nervous but so positive about the store. It’s something so different for Swindon and I think if we’re getting this positive a reaction already, things will work out amazingly for us."
