The next step of the Government's roadmap out of lockdown begins today, with non-essential shops, gyms and hairdressers able to re-open and pubs and restaurants allowed to take in customers who are seated outside.
There are no changes to social distancing rules and outdoor gatherings must still be limited to six people or two households, and you must not socialise indoors with anyone you do not live with or have not formed a support bubble with.
The progress in reducing the COVID-19 case rate is fragile, as we continue to roll-out the vaccination programme. Our case rate in Swindon remains above the national average. Thankfully over 100,000 Swindon residents have now received a first dose of the COVID-19 vaccination and over 11,000 have received their second dose.
