Last month, Justin Tomlinson MP signed Greener UK’s Pledge for the Environment, along with 140 MP’s to ensure and build on protections for the environment.
Greener UK who launched the pledge are a coalition of 13 environmental organisations; including the WWF, Greenpeace, Woodland Trust and others are advocating for MP’s to support the current environmental protections and build on them as the country leaves the European Union. Brexit will give the UK the opportunity to build and strengthen our commitments to the environment, and work for a thriving natural world.
Justin Tomlinson MP said: “I have supported a number of local and national campaigns on the environment, and believe that the country must work on building on existing environmental protections. With all of the important political changes occurring recently, it is a good time to remind ourselves that we all have a collective responsibility to protect the planet for future generations.”
