North Swindon MP Continues Support For DASH

MP and former Minister for Disabled People Justin Tomlinson continues to support local charity DASH – Discovering Autistic Spectrum Happiness – having welcome some of their trustees to his new office.

DASH is an independent local charity whose mission is to improve the quality of life of adults of working age with Asperger’s and other high functioning Autistic Spectrum Conditions living in Swindon.

The charities primary aims are to:

  • Raise awareness of Asperger’s.
  • Promote and enhance access to assessment and diagnosis, post diagnosis support, welfare and care, housing, education and employment.
  • Research, promote and help to deliver a local model of support and services.

In this way the charity will look to help people with Asperger’s Syndrome to enjoy safer, healthier, more sociable, more productive and happier lives.

Justin Tomlinson MP said: “I regularly meet with local charities to offer help with fundraising activities and to seek local grants. I am also hoping that charities will continue to use my new office space for meetings and fundraising activities as many have done already.”
