Local MP, Justin Tomlinson, joined the new United Learning management team on a tour of Nova Hreod Academy on Akers Way.
Justin went back to the classroom, popping into a number of lessons including Maths, Art and Science before sitting down with the principle Darren Barton and executive principle Ben Parnell.
Much of the discussion focused on the schools aims to reduce disruption in the classroom by adopting a zero tolerance policy towards bad behavior. The United Learning Trust hopes to clamp down on unruly classrooms in order to ensure that the school can focus on improving learning standards.
Justin Tomlinson MP said: "It was great to meet the team at Nova Hread and I enjoyed visiting the fantastic facilities that the school has to offer. Both Darren and Ben are full of fresh ideas to improve standards and ensure that pupils reach their full potential. I was happy to share some ideas which will help the school reach out and engage within the local community".
