North Swindon MP Meets Local Residents As Part Of Global Climate Change Lobby

North Swindon MP, Justin Tomlinson, has met with a group Swindon residents in Parliament to discuss the impact of climate change and the steps the Government is taking to reduce carbon emissions.

The group, who were in London as part of the Climate Coalition's "Speak Up" lobby event, highlighted their concerns about the impact of global warming and the steps needed to protect the environment. Justin explained the Government's commitment to reduce carbon emissions and raised the positive work being done locally to improve recycling rates and reduce the use of fossil fuels.

Justin Tomlinson MP said: "I was delighted to be able to meet with fellow Swindon residents to discuss this very important issue. We have made enormous progress in reducing our carbon emissions in the UK and moving across to the use renewable fuels. In Swindon we are leading the way on increased rates of recycling & green energy and I know that the Government will take the lead of the Paris Climate Change Conference in December."
