North Swindon MP Meets Local Small Business Representatives


Justin Tomlinson MP has met with regional representatives of the Federation of Small Businesses to discuss a range of topical issues.

The FSB is a non-profit organisation which provides a membership service for people running their own small businesses. Their packages including advice, financial products and support; covering a wide range of benefits such as tax, legal and HR, local network groups, business banking and mentoring. The FSB also lobbies representatives and Ministers in Westminster.

With around 700 members in Swindon, Justin was keen to discuss a number of topical issues that affect small local businesses.

Justin Tomlinson MP said: “Before becoming an MP, I ran my own small business for 10 years. I therefore understand both the opportunities and challenges that running a business can present.  We covered a wide range of subjects including: business confidence, benefits, access to credit, training, payments and taxation.  I look forward to continuing to engage with local employers who have helped us deliver over 8,400 more jobs in Swindon since 2010.”
