The North Swindon MP & new Parliamentary Under-Secretary for Family Support, Housing and Child Maintenance, Justin Tomlinson, has met with the charity Families Need Fathers (FNF) at his community office in North Swindon.
Justin's new ministerial role covers a wide range of topics including families & child maintenance. FNF's work includes supporting children through parental divorce and maintaining a strong role for both parents during a child’s upbringing.
The group, despite their name, advocates on behalf of both fathers and mothers in the UK who have undergone a separation. The charity believes active participation from both parents is integral for a child’s development and wellbeing.
Justin took the opportunity to hear more about FNF's work and set out the steps the Government is taking across his ministerial brief.
