Local MP Justin Tomlinson was thrilled to join the Penhill United Under 15’s Football team for their fundraising evening at the County Ground last weekend.
The team were raising money for a trip to Belgium, and the event was attended by hundreds of their families and friends. As a huge football fan, Justin joined the event and kept everybody entertained with a football trivia quiz followed by an auction.
Overall the team have raised over £2500 to help the players go on the trip.
Justin commented, “I had a brilliant evening at the County Ground supporting Penhill United FC’s under 15’s fundraiser for their big trip to Belgium. I Really enjoyed being quiz master (deploying my football trivia!) and auctioneer. And speaking to all of the parents, grandparents & friends who are rightly very proud of the lads. It will be a brilliant trip and amazing opportunity- a huge well done to the team for organising such a fun night!”
