North Swindon MP Supports Castle Eaton Summer Fete

Local MP Justin Tomlinson recently enjoyed a Saturday afternoon at the Castle Eaton Summer Fete.

The annual event is held in the garden of the Red Lion pub and aims to raise money for the many village groups that exist including the gardening & the coffee club. There were a number of different stalls including a tombola and other games, whilst people enjoyed a BBQ and homemade cakes.

One of the highlights of the day was the duck race along the River Thames which runs through the bottom of the Red Lion’s garden.

Justin Tomlinson MP said: “It was great to catch up with villagers and enjoy the homemade cakes. Castle Eaton is a thriving village and it is thanks to local residents’ groups which make it such a lovely place to live. I am glad to say that my duck came a respectable 4^th place in the duck race!”
