Justin Tomlinson MP has been hailing the success of this year's Pride Festival in Swindon's Town Gardens. The North Swindon MP was attending the event with his family to show support since the festival was last held in 2019 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Swindon and Wiltshire Pride is the largest regional event for the LGBT+ community in Swindon and Wiltshire. The event at Town Gardens featured many stalls, a parade and live music performances.
Justin Tomlinson MP said:
"It has been an absolute pleasure attending Pride again this year. After the 2020 festival could not happen, it was a welcome return and a fantastic turnout from local residents.
Thank you to all the organisers and volunteers of the festival who made this possible. I think it is really important we continue to celebrate the diversity we have in Swindon"
