North Swindon MP Justin Tomlinson will be hosting his third annual Summer Activities Fair at the Orbital Shopping Park on Saturday 20th July from 11am – 1pm.
This follows the success of the first two fairs which saw several different organisations come together to show local parents, carers & grandparents what activities are on offer to keep the kids entertained over the summer holidays.
From various sports groups to the library network, computer museum and the Swindon & Cricklade Railway; there will be a whole host of stalls with information & offers available with details of summer activities for children. There will also be face painting & other activities.
The previous fairs have helped match a large number of local young people to new opportunities, and allowed them to take part in activities that they might not have previously considered.
Justin Tomlinson MP said: “It can be a real task to find constructive & enjoyable activities for the kids to enjoy over the summer. Luckily, we have a fantastic number of organisations in Swindon and this fair is an opportunity for parents, carers, grandparents & kids to come and see what they can get involved in. It is a week before the summer holidays begin and we have always had very good feedback from our previous fairs as people have been able to arrange summer-long childcare or several days out. So please do come along if you are looking for inspiration as to how to keep the kids occupied this summer.”
If your organisation would like to be included in the Summer Activities Fair please Justin’s office via alexandra.hughes@parliament.uk, or call 01793 533393.
