North Swindon MP Visits Highworth Safe Places Scheme

North Swindon MP Justin Tomlinson has visited the Bridge Community Centre to discuss the ‘Safe Places’ scheme in Highworth which is a locally run scheme aiming to help citizens, lost or in need, and establish Safe Places across Wiltshire that provides a safe environment for people who may require some additional support when out and about in the community.

'Safe places’ currently have fourteen sites in Highworth where people who find themselves in vulnerable situations can go to. People will be able to identify the shops who are a part of the scheme by a sticker on the front of the shop showing the ‘Safe Places’ logo.

Justin Tomlinson MP said: “The people in Highworth have done a fantastic job with ‘safe places.’ It is really admiring to see the passion that Ian Webb and his team have as well as encouraging to see all the support from local stores”.
