Justin Tomlinson MP has welcomed the Student Council from Ferndale School to Westminster to help them learn more about his role as their MP and how Parliament works.
The North Swindon MP regularly visits all of the schools across the constituency, conducting enjoyable & interactive assemblies where students get the opportunity to pass their own School Parliamentary Bill.
During the visit, pupils from the successful Student Council enjoyed a tour of both the House of Commons & House of Lords, before they got a chance to quiz Justin on a number of different issues.
Justin took a wide range of questions from the pupils on issues from Brexit to climate change. He also took the opportunity to explain what he does as a fellow North Swindon resident to represent them in Parliament.
Justin Tomlinson MP said: "It's always a pleasure to welcome students from across North Swindon to Parliament. It was fantastic to see the enthusiasm the Ferndale School Student Council has, and it's clear that they are making a huge difference for their fellow pupils. These school trips to Westminster are incredibly important & enjoyable, and if any school would like to take part, I'd be more than happy to assist."
