Justin Tomlinson MP yesterday hosted students from Swindon College in Parliament to encourage young people to participate more in the political process.
Students from the college had the opportunity to tour the Houses of Parliament. They saw for themselves how the legislative process works and some of the roles that Justin has in representing them in Parliament.
Once they had finished their tour, the students had the opportunity to meet with Justin and put their questions to him. In these Q&A’s he encourages the students to raise their thoughts and concerns with him as their MP, as well as explaining to the groups that it is vital that they vote in elections so that they engage in the democratic process and that their voice is heard.
Justin Tomlinson MP said: "It was a huge pleasure to welcome students from Swindon College to Parliament to learn about how our system works and to see it up close. It was fantastic to talk to Swindon College students about the vital role they will play in the years to come."
