North Swindon MP Welcomes Westrop Primary School To Parliament

Justin Tomlinson MP has welcomed pupils from Westrop Primary School's council in Highworth to Parliament.

Each year, pupils from the school stand for election to join the school's council. This year, for the first time, the pupils who make up the council had the opportunity to visit Parliament to learn more about the political process.

As well as meeting with Justin and having the opportunity to ask him questions the pupils enjoyed a tour of Parliament, visiting both the House of Commons and House of Lords chambers', taking the opportunity to stand at the Government Despatch Box and pretending to be the Prime Minister.

Justin Tomlinson MP said: "It was great to have the opportunity to welcome Westrop Primary School to Parliament to learn more about how the system works, and the work I do to represent them and their views. Westriop has joined a growing list of local school who have visited Parliament and I'd encourage all local schools to take advantage of this fantastic opportunity."
