Government Meets Target Of 20,000 More Police Officers

Justin Has welcomed news that the Govenment has delivered on our manifesto pledge to recruit 20,00 extra police officers. Since the recruitment drive was launched in 2019, the 43 police forces across England and Wales have seen an additional 20,951 police officers recruited – beating the original pledge by nearly 1,000. More officers recruited means more officers on the streets tackling crime and making our communities safer.

North Swindon MP Justin Tomlinson has welcomed news that Swindon is set to benefit from £3 million as part of the latest round of Household Support Fund allocations. This funding forms part of the £800 million increase to the Household Support Fund, announced by the Government earlier this month.
