Justin Speaks Out On Future Of High Street

Justin Speaks Out On Future Of High Street

It is a pleasure to serve under your chairmanship, Mr Davies. I congratulate Simon Danczuk on raising this important subject. It is one on which I am passionate, because my parents ran shops, so after school I often played behind the shop counter. We had wool shops—so I wore ill-fitting jumpers well past the time when it was socially acceptable—and a series of hairdresser's shops, which were ultimately wasted on me. I am also the vice-chair of the all-party groups on town centres and on retail. ...

Swindon Advertiser Weekly Article - 17th May 2013

Last week I set out the content of the Queen’s Speech – the changes that the Government plans to make over the next 12 months.  Yet it is important to qualify this.  The Speech represents the ideas that the Conservatives and the Liberal Democrats have agreed upon.  Each Party has its desires that did not make it onto the Government programme because the other Party refused. The most important commitment for the Conservative Party, blocked from being Government policy in this way, is a referendum...

Swindon Advertiser Weekly Article - 10th May 2013

This week, the Queen came to Parliament to officially start the new Parliamentary year and to announce the different policies that the Government will pursue over the next twelve months.  Despite the pomp and ceremony of the State Opening, the Queen processing through Westminster followed by her Ladies-in-Waiting, the Speech itself was unassuming.  There were no billion pound giveaways, no headline grabbing policies, just simple changes that will make a difference to people’s lives. Central to m...

Justin Helps Grange Infants Create Their Own Bee Friendly Garden
